250 Listing Amount Seems Wrong

At the beginning of each month, we start out with 250 items we can post.  I have not posted a lot and my amount has gone down very quickly.  What can be the problem?

250 Listing Amount Seems Wrong

Do you realize that everything, not sold, listed last month is relisted in the next month and counts against the 250?

You get 250 free each month.  That's a combination of new listings as well as any unsold fixed priced items that roll over during the month.  Given you have a 283 items listed, you will likely run out before the end of the month and will be charged for any excess.

That's 250 total for the month, not 250 new listings each month.

Have a great day.

Those 33 listings over the 250 will get charged listing fees.

Plus (which may not pertain to you, but others that see this thread)- if you have MULTIPLE AMOUNTS of an item, say 10 of each; then you would only get 25 listings a month....

No, a multi-item fixed price listing counts as only one insertion fee.  It does count all items against your monthly listing limits, though.

In case the other posts haven't made it clear: Those 250 free insertions each month can be used for new listings, for relists, or when a fixed price listing rolls over.

Fixed price listings renew each month on the same date as they started (for instance, a listing started today will roll over on October 19, November 19, December 19, etc.) and each time they roll over they will use up one of your free insertions if available, otherwise you are charged for the insertion fee.

So if your free insertions for September are being used up, it's due to rollovers of fixed price listings from past months.

Clarifying:

That pertains to total listings allowed, as in Seller limits.
