hello, I am having a terrible time trying to refund my customer's money, which is on HOLD by eBay. No matter what I do, it keeps saying, Your refund did not go through. Please use a different payment option and try again. However, I have linked my credit card and even Debit card to my eBay account. My credit card has a lots of money. How do I get around this issue?

I see orders from December that went to PayPal and more recent orders that went through MP. I don't know if you're refunding through PayPal on an MP order, but MP refunds are a breeze.
Assuming you're refunding an MP sale... just find the order in your Seller Hub, Orders Tab. Use the blue drop down menu to the left of the order. Select Send Refund, enter the amount, confirm and submit.
Assuming it's a PP sale... wait for another poster. I've been in MP for so long that I can't address it. Good luck.

Make sure you're selecting a reason for the refund. It's a small drop down menu at the top of the refund page. It will not process without a reason.

I have already selected a reason for the refund.

Are you trying to refund a PayPal sale or an MP sale?

As far as I know, eBay doesn't work with PayPal anymore. Thus, this transaction is not through my paypal account. I never had any issues using Paypal with my ebay account before until now. Using PayPal with ebay was a breeze. I don't even know what payment processor eBay is using anymore. This is frustration to the max. I hope and wish eBay goes back to PayPal.
What is MP?

What is MP?
Managed Payments
It is the process ebay is using now to send money to your bank account instead of PayPal. The problem you are having is related to that process. When you issue a refund, this system WILL NOT use the money they have "on hold" to fund the refund back to the buyer. They take it from your available balance instead. If you don't have enough in your "available balance" you can't use a debit or credit card to fund the refund. You can't send money to your managed payments account so you have enough for the refund.
Hopefully, someone will come by and tell you what options you have, but if they don't release the hold after a couple of days of you TRYING to refund, I can only guess they want you to fund it with your checking account. Why they have not taken it from there already I have no clue. Sorry I could not be of more help.

So, in other word having my bank account already linked to my eBay account for payout and my bank debit card with PLENTY of MONEY is not enough. Are you saying that I will have to link another bank account of mine? Is that what eBay is looking for? Is there any way to get in touch with eBay customer service directly to talk about this?
After everything is said and done, I am DONE here.

Happened to me. Before you click "Refund Now" make sure to click on "Add payment method" (link below in small text). You need to add your card so that they can charge it in case your eBay funds are insufficient.

Same thing just happened to me and I added a debi, credit and bank account. The only way around was..hear me out...reload the page. Oddly the only thing that worked.

Zombie post from from Feb. Elvis has left the building. The OP is no longer found on eBay.
