It can't possibly be ALL bad news for seller again can it?? How much more bad can we take?? I am now spending maybe 10 times more time every day than a couple of years ago doing things to make sales...the stress is really getting to me. I really can't take any more bad news....PLEASE!

... And right after a more brutal than usual winter USPS 'update'.

All we can do is hope for the best and expect the worst. There'll be enough coming down the line with more sellers being opted into Ayden this Spring - so maybe they'll cut us a break!

After the dismal results that Ebay reported for the 4th quarter and the 2 open letters from Elliott to Ebays BOD and CEO, I fully expect them to once again do all they can to squeeze every last penny out of the current sellers that they can. Of course they have no clue that every time they do this Sellers have to raise their prices which makes buyers start looking elsewhere again and once again lowers the sales on ebay, but when you have no retail experience that is just not considered. I fully expect another push for Promoted Listings, especially after seeing the average "EXTRA" money that Ebay is pulling down from that program. Sellers have become so desperate to have their items seen that they are now paying. Based on the numbers Ebay is showing as the average Promoted Listing Fees they are collecting Ebay would probably have had negative growth in the 4th quarter which says a lot about the lack of traffic that Ebay now draws. Here is the most recent average Extra Fees that Sellers are paying Ebay for selling their items through Promoted Listings:

No wonder buyers are complaining about how the cost of items on ebay are becoming more expensive than other sites, but its not the Sellers who are pulling in the extra money out of it. When you also add in the additional 4% FVF penalty for excessive SNAD's vs a Sellers peers who they of course have no clue whether that information is correct or not, Ebay should be showing a heck of a lot more than 1% growth from the previous year if they were even maintaining the same GMV as the previous year, let alone any growth whatsoever. No wonder the Shareholders want them to sell off the non marketplace assets and focus on what originally made Ebay a household name. The only problem is, they no longer have the personnel with the background to grow the company's marketplace as they have all left and been replaced with personnel who have no experience in retail or online ecommerce which is what they desperately need at this point in time. This is going to be an interesting year since they have admitted they are now looking to the second half of 2020 when managed payments kicks in and they are drooling over what they think they are going to make out of it. Again though, it will be interesting to see how many Sellers as well as Buyers agree to give ebay that much more financial information when they have not shown the ability to even maintain the platform for just selling, let alone managing everybody else's money. With what i have seen from their current off shore programmers performance, something is going to have to improve dramatically or this site will not only be a scammers paradise but a hackers paradise.

Yikes, and there's that too! Maybe we shouldn't speculate too much on this thread... I remember a movie with a town in the woods (with monsters about) whispering "Those of whom we should not speak".
Ah, Spring.
...On ebay

We all make alot of our own conclusions about why and what Ebay is doing or going to do, which aren't necessarily accurate.......
Just a wild guess tho..........I think they are going to fiddle with the "auction" requirements on stores......... that they will make the "free listings" our choice of format............which will increase the # of listings to those who primarily run one or the other......... YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!!! lol

No LOL, I've made that suggestion, let Sellers determine how each of their monthly pre-paid insertions are used either Fixed Price or Auction. Some things do better on Auction.

This seems to be the largest concern with Managed Payments~glitches have eroded confidence to that degree.

Managed payments ... tick ... tick ... tick ... tick ... tick ... tick ... BOOM!

I'd be happy with staying with the current rendition but giving stores free BINs with auctions and free scheduling.
