1099k Showing Double for Everything.

Exactly double?

What are you comparing it to?

While anything is possible it seems unlikely that the amount could be double what you think it should be.

If you don't want to reveal the actual numbers use examples that are of the same ratio/difference.

Example

Transaction I did for the year 1000. 

1099 showing 2000.

Every month of sales is exactly doubled.

10k in sales in Janurary.

1099 shows 20k.

Download your Transaction Report for the entire year and see what it reports and look for errors.

The 2nd page shows every box twice too.

I vaguely remember this happening last year as well, and it corrected itself in a couple days. The one I got in the mail was accurate.

The 1099 just popped up on my dashboard. I did not get a message/email yet telling me it was ready. I'm hoping it will resolve itself by the time I get the email from ebay.

I'm seeing the exact same thing on my 1099. Numbers are all doubled, hopefully this is corrected on the mailed copy. eBay just doing eBay things.

Hi everyone- we’re aware and are still looking into this.
I appreciate everyone taking their time to let us know about the errors you’re seeing. I’ve gathered the user ID’s of members reporting incorrect data on their 1099-k form and I have sent this for further investigation. Thanks again for working with me!

They did not. I checked the tax report section expecting nothing has changed.

My numbers don't match but they are not doubled. The numbers on the 1099 do not even match each month's totals on Ebay's own monthly reports. Is sales tax collected added to the amount even though we don't see that money?

December Report says total transactions -$1,402.94 yet the 1099 says $1,888.15?

How did you get your problem resolved with your 1099k being off?  I have tried to speak with people at Ebay about it but they are unqualified to help me.

Jasmen, our 1099K form is also inaccurate.  Monthly totals on 1099K do not match month to month reports.  Please add our username to the list and look into it.  Thank you!

     At this point in time you need to call the IRS if eBay has not corrected the numbers. They are way beyond their deadline for getting correct 1099's distributed.
