Bidder has 2 bids and no change in price. No reserve item. Has more watchers. Has happened before on a sale. How to tell if they are using more than one computer to bid?
thank you

I don't know how you would tell if they were using two computers, and I'm also not sure why you'd want to know.
The high bid showing won't change if the high bidder bids again, even though their second bid must have been higher than the first one. There won't be a change until somebody bids against them.

You can't bid against yourself. What does two different computers have to do with it?

I agree the bidder probably decided to increase their bid by placing a second one. Not uncommon.

Don't worry about this. Sometimes I bid (and am the only bidder) on a stamp album. I come back 10 minutes before it ends and bid again (even though I'm winning) with more money to reduce the chances of a sniper being able to take it from me.
It just means they really want the item and the second bid is their maximum bid in case someone else bids against them.

It takes a second BIDDER for the price to go up.Think about why would a sole bidder redbid if it would raise their price? All buyers want to get things for the lowest they can.And all bidders are allowed to bid as often as they want from any device they want until the auction ends
Some bidders realize after they bid that they are willing have a bid higher ceiling than they thought so they bid again.Read up on how ebay bidding works here http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bidding-overview.html

I've done it, too. Raise my bid after I decide I would pay more. While I always say "bid once and bid your max" sometimes I decide my max needs to be more! 🙂
