1 Day Handling = 4 Day Shipping - What????

Oh for pity sake - eBay just updated all of my listings to state 4 Day Shipping.

I have 1 day handling which means all orders get shipped within 24 hours of payment received.  Buyer pays after 1 p.m. item gets shipped next day.  Buyer pays at 8 a.m. item gets shipped same day.  (excluding Sat, Sun & holidays).  That's 1 day shipping - not 4!!

My account setting states 1 day handling.

If I shipped an item to my neighbor across the street today 7/22, according to eBay they would not get it until 7/28.  Good grief that's 6 days!  What are potential buyers seeing as delivery dates in western states or the east coast?

I know the USPS can be extremely unreliable, and that some buyers want instant delivery, but good lord, stating 4 day shipping has got to be contributing to slow sales for many sellers.

I understand eBay has extended delivery estimates due to problem with USPS delivery.  I applaud that move.

But putting 4 day shipping on listings when the seller ships in one day is ludicrous.

they did same to me, changed all my handle time on all listings to 3 days from 1 day TRP - on the phone with ebay now about it.

I dont really check peoples handling time.I have 1 day handling like many do.

lots of folks say its hard to see the estimate for shipping days.some say it does not show up unless its 3 or more days.

I know that ebay plays around with the estimates and so forth.I think they make a new estimate when the label is printed

I have faith that ebay will undo this..................this sort of thing comes and goes

In eBay speak they are promising to the buyers if they buy it now
(it will be) delivered to them in 4 days.

so EB CS doesn't know what's going on, said only that tech support is looking into it and put my account on the list of effected accounts. They said my handle time is still 1 day (and I checked via edit of several listings) they are still set to 1 day and will still counted on TRP discount if sell) but the listings are showing 3 day free shipping (for me) instead of 1 day and the TRP seal has been removed from the listings. They said the TRP removal is also reported and Tech Support is looking into it. No ETA for it being fixed, but I said hope they fix it soon as 3 day - 4 day handle time is make or break a sale and were heading into the weekend here.

Normally if I mail something across the street or within several miles of my home they would have it in 2 days.  Not 6.

My listings have always shown 1 Day Shipping because of my 1 day handling.  Can't be top rated plus unless you ship in 1 day or less. 

My shipping "speed" as noted in the announcement is 1 day.  Not 4.

Customers are "stupid" (if EBAY shows 1-day shipping....they will assume they are going to receive item in 1-day).   Customers can read on your description page that you offer "super fast" turn around time.

It is better for Sellers when it shows "longer delivery time" otherwise customers could file case "did not receive item" and if you don't have tracking to prove it was delivered (customer would get item for free).

Also customers are delighted and leave "great feedback" when item arrives sooner than expected.

Yes, my top rated plus badge is missing too.  I work hard for that designation and I want it back!

Ok...so seems that the new shipping "badges" are taking over - but for those who have their listings made for TRP they have also removed the TRP badge on the listings... the shipping of 3-day or 4-day will change depending on the persons address viewing the listing but if your handle time is 1 day the listing will still be 1 day or 2 day or 3 day etc... it just isn't showing the actual handle time but the delivery time instead. 

Very confusing, but as for the TRP badges they are working to fix this error and should return to the TRP listings soon (so they say)

Ebay listings note an estimated delivery window of three days, in which is factored the turnaround time that you have set.

When you click your own listings, Ebay notes an estimated delivery window for your own products sent to your own zip code. 

If Ebay's noted delivery windows are not correct, you can state in your listings that your turnaround time is one business day and your transit time estimate is one to five mailing days, depending on the customer's location.

I understand what you are relaying but:

My listings are showing 4 day shipping - and estimated delivery dates of 6 days or more to my home area.

Two different things.

For me personally, i use a 2 day handing time.  That puts my estimated delivery time just about right.

When I view one of my listings it states 4 Day Shipping - and then below that is the Estimated Delivery Date of 7/28.  (Estimated delivery is based on buyer location - my home).

So if I shipped something to myself today, Thursday, eBay says my estimated delivery is next Wednesday, 7/28.  (6 days from now, with Sunday included).  

Makes no sense.
