Can we come up with some scheme, that blocks 0 feedback bidders. Since 01/2023 to date, I have had 6 No paying bidders...all had less than 5 feedback scores. In the latest move....I had 2 bids on a product that sells new for approximate $40. Suddenly a bid appears for $80....wha??? All other bidders stopped, and winning bidder is a 1 feedback ebayer. Once again, no response, no payment, no contact....this is becoming over and over problem. Anyway to block bidders with obvious no intention to purchase.....all they have to do is generate a new user, and do it again and again.....Ideas??

If you insist on list auction style listings, you will continue to have to deal with none paying buyers.
If you want to stop dealing with nonpaying buyers list as suggested previous as buy it now with immediately payment required
and avoid the use of best offer.

No; you cannot block "new buyers".
You can, in your preferences, checkmark to use 'block buyers that have had 2 or more 'non payments reported in the past 12 months" (paraphrasing).... so, if they have NOT been reported or have NOT had at least 2 non payments, then they will still be able to bid/buy your items.

No, you can't block them. However, you can list se fixed price buy it now ans set it to require payment right away. No sale is made until the buyer pays with that.

I use the auction format almost exclusively for a number of reasons. The non-payers are just something that you have to deal with on occasion. I much prefer a non-paying buyer who may have changed their mind or found it cheaper elsewhere as opposed to a BIN transaction where the buyer waits for the order to arrive and then immediately opens a return request or a NAD case.
That process takes a LOT longer than the 4-5 days it takes to deal with a non-payer and relist the item. Plus it may actually also cost you for the return postage and potentially the eBay fees.

You can't block zero or low feedback buyers, but why would you want to? Because the last 6 non-payers you had were low feedback buyers? If you owned a B&M store and the last 6 shoplifters happened to be wearing a red ahirt, would you ban all customers wearing a red shirt? I hope not.

..........and stop the buyer numbers from increasing? Yes eBay and sellers are going to want that.... a sure fire way to disaster on a site that relies on new members joining daily LOL

And you ARE cancelling after four days, citing "buyer did not pay" as the reason, right?

some old CEO from ebay has a famous quote apparently
"we want all the buyers, even the bad ones"
this is true to some extent, all of the jerky buyers are just coddled instead of being tossed from the program
ebay woud rather let 10 jerk non payers do what they feel like than upset one of them
ebays mantra is we cant afford to lose any non payers
ebay does not give a rats **bleep** about upsetting the sellers
this is the sucky side of ebay

My issue with non paying bidders is that ebay keeps their profiles open so they can repeat the bad behaviors again and again.
I have a fraud case where ebay protected me (after I filed and appeal). It was a clear case of fraud with the buyer only making 1 purchase.....which was mine. Some 90 days later this buyers profile is still open
Why?

Hi, I am not sure how many of your listings are auction style as opposed to BIN. I do a mix of both. When I get a brand new bidder or a 0 feedback bidder with no history I immediately send them an email asking them to confirm their bid and explain I expect payment right at auction end and ask them to please respond to my inquiry. If I do not hear anything back I just cancel their bids on my items. This only works if you catch it before your auction ends. Good luck. Ebay has never allowed us to block 0 feedback users and used to let us block negative users but since there is no such thing anymore - what is the point??
Good Luck. Sadly I have at least 1 non paying bidder on a monthly basis. Ridiculous.

I am plagued with the same problem. I'm certain this is rival sellers. Just had another one a few minutes ago, a 0 feedback "winner" who I am sure won't pay. But by the time I'm able to close the "case," the backup bidder will have bought elsewhere. I prefer auctions to BIN for many items because I am just not sure what they are worth.
