Hey, so a few days a sold a video game and the title said it was the sequel of such game. However, I listed the first one but I suppose while listing it eBay automatically posted it as the sequel. It was like that for a while until the game was sold. However before printing the shipping label I noticed the error and sent a message telling the buyer of this mistake. Gave her 2 days and she didn’t say anything. So I decided to ship it anyway and a few days later I got a neutral review pointing to that mistake. I left a follow up in the review that I contacted her beforehand but she didn’t reply. Even after that had happened, Today I sent her a message that if she wanted to return it she could, to which again I got now reply. Is there a way to change the rating or handle this situation differently?
Best when finding out there was a mistake is to wait for buyer to reply or cancel the transaction, as you first were going to do.
Nothing you can do now if buyer wants to keep the item. Plus a neutral feedback has no effect and your followup comment should make it clear what happened.
