Eight years ago your payment was probably processed through PayPal and you would be able to retrieve payment information there.
To retrieve archived data on eBay, request your eBay data from your Account Settings.
When given the option, uncheckmark everything except purchases, and set the time range to cover the sale eight years ago. To avoid struggling with a large file, don't download more than you need. eBay will have the information for you a week after the request.
