Does the eBay website have a dark theme for desktop users? White mode is very difficult for the eyes, Mostly at night. Is there any way to make it dark.?

There are third-party extensions for most common desktop browsers that you can add that will allow you to view pages as light text on a dark background.
Dark Reader is one; Dark Mode is another.

I adjusted the brightness of my screen a tad and have my mouse pointer set to black, makes it easier on the eyes

2024 @ebay still not listening to community for over over 5 years. @ebay; you have till October 30th 2024 to add dark mode or i and my circle close our ebay accounts permanently. The people have spoken

This is a common request. I prefer dark mode myself.
Here on the forums there is a dark mode option in your profile settings.
On the eBay app there is a dark mode.
On the website? No dark mode available. I've seen some people force it with browser add-ons, but going that route can lead to unintended problems with page view.
In case you want to explore a tested option, I'm going to quote a post from @eburtonlab, one of the resident "tech experts" on this forum:
If you use a common desktop browser, take a look at an add-on called Color Changer. It allows you to set background, text and link colors independently using a color wheel, it remembers your default on/off settings for each site, and it allows you to turn it on or off with a couple of clicks using an icon in your browser toolbar. It does have a few unintended side effects -- some icons like the notification bell lose their color, and some images in pop-up windows are affected adversely -- but if harsh white backgrounds are bothering your eyes, Color Changer might be worth playing with.

ebay is becoming like microsoft and windows 11, i checked prices on items and amazon beats ebays prices. this is another reason to close @ebay account. i can always ad an extension but that's not the point. we are people not the product. i been with ebay for 2 decades. time for them to listen to the comminity. 2024 - ai is in phones yet ebays lack of active listening to something minor like dark mode shows us clearly that they are after as much $ they can grab with less work possible. its the idiotic 80/20 rule which is why USA is failing economically

My guess (and this is just a guess) is the website has so many years and layers of code which is preventing them from adding dark mode. Often they make changes and something "breaks" because of an old piece of code interacting with the page.
I agree a "tech company" as eBay has referred to itself, that integrates a lot of AI and uses terms like "tech led" should be able to release a dark mode without issue.
I wouldn't hold my breath on it happening though.
I see no reason why your posts would be deleted, but don't be surprised if the thread gets locked. Mods tend to lock anything older than 6 mos and you revived a discussion 3 years old. Usually better to start a new one or find a recent thread to join like this one:
