With the old messaging system, there was the option to select every message on a page simply by clicking a single checkbox at the top of the list of messages. From there I could then click the "delete" button. That was especially handy when combined with the ability to show only unread messages. In just a couple of clicks, I could delete 100 unread "Offer received" messages from my inbox (the inability to turn those messages off is also irritating---I can clearly see the offers in my notification feed as well as in my Seller Hub, so why the extraneous messages? But that is another issue).
However, with the new messaging system, the only way I have found to delete multiple messages at once is to click the "edit" button, and then manually select each and every message, one-by-one, that I want to delete. There is no way to group select messages, such as clicking on one message and then shift-clicking on a message lower down in order to select everything in between, or by clicking on a single "select all" button. Further, there is no way (that I have found) to show only unread messages (the link from Seller Hub just brings you to the inbox with all messages displayed), or to filter messages from eBay users only (vs system-generated messages). So when I have a number of product listings that very rapidly receive dozens of offers (such as bulk computer CPU listings), my inbox quickly becomes full of hundreds of unnecessary messages that require hundreds of clicks to delete.
I've been using the feedback link every day to ask for these simple features for months but nobody seems to be listening. For now, I've resorted to switching back to the classic messaging system to perform my bulk deletes, and then switching back to the new system (which does have a lot of benefits). However, I'm sure the time will come when switching back and forth will no longer be possible. Has anyone found an easier way?

I switched over and this message appeared along the way, so some of your feedback is getting through:

Ah, that's great news! It's interesting that you got that message when switching over, but those of us that have been using it for a while now didn't get the message. Unless it was just me... that's always a possibility.
Thanks for sharing that information.

I switched a few times in the beginning but could not function that way. I think eBay monitors the reversion (as in aversion) so it may be worth the toggle every so often, particularly if you are getting backup copies to your external email. I toggled a lot when the new listing tool came out, and left them feedback every time.
