I do not see the shipping calculator anywhere on the new listing tool. I can not set flat rate fees without it. Am I missing something?

So i came across this issue and found it… in shipping selection screen click add service, next window click shipping calculator, and that will bring up the tool……seems like alot of misunderstanding on this issue

Thanks for finding that! No confusion other than that was not there for the last year of this new tool- they must have just added it because of all the complaints and pushback....... of course it takes 4 extra cllcks to access it when on the classic it was front and central like it should be- hopefully they will move it to the main flow soon. I swear- by the time this new tool is half decent- it will basically be back to the classic listing tool!!!!! So sad to have really screwed over sellers for the last year only to put it back to what we were happy with in the first place.

Again- thanks for stumbling across that link- we all have to help each other because ebay doesn't see fit to actually tell us what changes or updates they make so we get to a point when we no longer blindly click on popups to explore.

I am happy to see that they are listening to sellers when we tell them we NEED these classic tools but man, cant they do any thing right at all?- I was so happy to see it added until i used it and found out its i a STUPID undersize popup box that you MUST scroll down to input information!!!!!!!! So i have to put in weight then move hand over to mouse and scroll down to see the next box and then to see the "calculate" button

R U KIDDING ME! I swear ebay needs to clean house and just start over with industry experienced people- the mobile crap does not work on a desktop- STOP trying to force it- your only making it worse!!!

I am not trying to make it personal - and i do actually feel bad for these people as Im sure they are just trying to do their best and they have families and lives too- but this is just getting beyond ridiculous- why does everything have to be a huge struggle with ebay?- why does everything have to be in tiny popup boxes when i have 2 - 24" monitors to work with? why? why? This website is getting to be so unprofessional that its not even funny.

ive been listing the last couple days and using this method of putting in the weight and measurements into the old ebay shipping calculator- it is proving faster and easier than doing it on the new listing tool main flow, even with the extra clicks and annoying incorrect sizing of the popup box....... so overall -it is an improvement

Please- EBAY - move the calculate shipping link TO THE MAIN SHIPPING SECTION like it was on the classic/ that will eliminate one extra unnecessary click for us (and then use that a guide to get rid of all the other extra mouse clicks that we do not want to waste time with!)

Please- EBAY- then make the popup box full screen on a desktop so we can see everything at once!!!! I am absolutely certain that you guys do not use your phones to run ebay! you all use desktops to do your jobs so please let us use our desktops to do our jobs

Even right now as i type- this ebay community website has everything full screen on a desktop, not in little popups in the center of my screen.-- IDENTIFY THE DEVICE AND FORMAT THE CONTENT TO FIT IT!

Just did a round of listings yesterday and made not of a few things that need to be addressed concerning the shipping section:

1. when using the "calculate shipping" it does not import the correct handling fee half of the time- and sometimes leaves it blank on the main flow.

2. calculate shipping link NEEDS to be on the MAIN PAGE- not hidden in edit all popups

3. first class usps not showing at all in the classic calculator.... you need to access it only through the main flow shipping page

4.if you do not select calculate shipping instead of flat rate on the main flow first..... the info doesnt import correctly when you use the calculate shipping link......

Take-a-way: Adding the far superior classic calculator was the right thing to do- now just get it integrated correctly so it works without all the glitches and problems.

Ebay- this is why sellers hate ebay innovation... its always like going backwards 10 years instead.

I can't believe this is STILL an ongoing issue. We've been spoon feeding eBay their code problems for how many months now? Where is the testing that should have found all these BEFORE code was pushed to production? It just seems like the programmers aren't at all familiar with their product such that they can easily determine where things are broken.

Hopefully they are still reading this thread and getting their work items off your most current list.

Personally, I gave up eBay ever fixing it. I just keep a separate tab open with the old shipping calculator. It's easier and causes me way less frustration. I love your persistence though! I'll check back up in another couple of months and see how it's going.

An agent did just try me at length that they have recognized that they were wrong in assuming people prefer to switch back and forth between devices when listing and that the unified n listing tool did not work well in a desktop for series. She was snacked at the amount of hatred for the tool when used on a computer.

She assured me that they are planning another round of changes next month to bring it more inline with a desktop tool....

Fingers crossed!

Just so you know- they finally did add the original shipping calculater back into the new unified listing tool fo rus- its just NOT at a good practical place to find it yet. you must hit "edit all" or add additional shipping options to get the popup to show up. then scroll to the bottom of the popup and you will see the words "shipping calculator"- even though it is not a different color or anything- it is a link to the great ebay shipping calculator and the information you put in it will transfer over to the listing when your done. It was a huge leap forward for this new tool!...... BUT THE LINK NEEDS TO BE ON THE MAIN LISTING PAGE so we dont have to jump through hoops to get to it.

I honestly do not understand the reasoning for making this tool so sparse and hiding everything from view. Literally everyone i have spoken to in the last year ( including as recent as a text yesterday) says this new tool takes 2-3x longer to list with........its a complete joke to make your sellers waste time- we are literally physically limited in the amount we can list now. How does it help ebay's growth to limit what we can list in a day?

I see a bunch of so called Shipping Policies. I am guessing these were created due to my past shipping. I've been with Ebay 19 years AND NEVER HAD THIS MUCH TROUBLE GETTING THE SHIPPING TO WORK CORRECTLY. Not sorry I yelled. Not all the changes are good. Here is what I see. My Flat Rate Shipping is missing. March 2023 Shipping Policies

I had this same issue a month ago- ebay did some kind of an update and it turned on business policies, which i have never used. When that was turned on- it defaults to your pre-made poicies for shipping and no longer shows you the normal shipping options. It took a few agents to finaly figure it out but you need to go into you system settings and then turn Off "business policies", then the listing tool will revert back to normal

Thank you!!! I went to Account Settings > Business Polices which took me to the Manage Your Business Policies Page. On the top right side of the page it says Opt Out > Opt Out for now.

It gave me a window that told me I would have the option to explain why I was opting out - but that window never popped up. I will check the listings that I made this past week to see if I need to correct anything. I wasn't positive what ebay had changed on the site and was wary of changing this until you sent this message. Thanks for answering my SOS.
