Turbo Lister

My hope is the demise of Turbo Lister is NOT  a reality.  Have those in a decision making position reconsidered and will leave Turbo Lister intact?  If eBay decides to no longer support Turbo Lister, does that mean I will no longer be able to upload items I have spend thousands of hours creating using Turbo Lister?

Re: Turbo Lister

@shipscript  I am running IE11, and was getting a grayed-out Submit button on the 2-Step verification screen. I just temporarily removed 2-Step from my eBay account, and was able to reauthorize and access my data.

Thanks for the reply - you are a great resource on these boards. Peace.

Re: Turbo Lister

After eBay Turbolister stopped, my office was totally destroyed. Our employees working remotely prepared lots in this program. These lots could be exported and imported, very quickly and conveniently, put up for sale at the right time, or take a break. More than 100 thousand lots have been made, the Turbolister program is very simple and convenient, and even a beginner who is not able to do anything needed just to set up a sample and show a few simple operations.

After our work was destroyed, we make attempts to replace Turbolister with at least something, even if it will be a paid and less convenient program, but so far we are failing in this. For example, Siksbit with a huge number of completely unnecessary functions for work, and the inability to import files, and incomprehensible restrictions.

Of course, we understand that it was necessary to prepare for the cancellation of Turbolister, especially since there was a warning in advance. But still, we hoped that at least something would be in return! We would quickly master the new program, rebuild, and continue working. But now there is nothing in return, an empty space!
Usually, before deleting something, something is done instead, so many are at a loss)

@ojaynos

Just to reconfirm ... when your Turbo Lister token expired, TL would not open your folders or access your stored data. When you removed the 2-step verification from your online account, you were again able to connect Turbo Lister to eBay to reauthorize the token, which then allowed you to access your stored data on your computer.

Re: Turbo Lister

@shipscript  Correct. TL would accept my eBay user ID & password, but wouldn't advance past the 2-step verification screen. I had no access to my TL user - no folders, no items, no data. But the single step log-in did work to connect TL to eBay, and I have been using my data offline. I guess we'll see how long the authorization lasts.

Re: Turbo Lister

Thank you.

Do you know when eBay will allow us to use SixBit?

I saw an email that they will allow us to test drive it for 6 months before deciding if we want to keep using it.

Regards

Re: Turbo Lister

@chiefrob

You can use SixBit right now. The 6 month trial is a true working subscription that will connect and upload listings to eBay right now. Your first six months will be free. It is not clear what time frame that six months will bracket nor is it clear whether there is deadline for starting the free period. Perhaps  @jslocum2  has more info.

Re: Turbo Lister

Hi, Your reply regarding Turbo Lister in this forum is exactly the way I feel. Have you  come across any solution to help. Like you, I have over 3500 unique individual listings stored in my now non-functioning Turbo Lister file. Thank you in advance. Ira

Re: Turbo Lister

I am so disappointed in eBay for taking away Turbo Lister! I sell mostly seasonal items and am getting ready to start re-listing my Christmas items. Do I really have to start each from scratch? That makes no sense at all, especially since I have it all in my Turbo Lister files! Why does eBay keep making it harder for sellers, and taking away things that they have given us for free in the past? How makes these decisions? It's wrong!

Re: Turbo Lister

I've been with ebay for over 20 years and am one of the guys who made Pierre & Meg multimillionaires.  I guess also I'm one of the 10000 that was using turbolister when they shut it down.  Ebay will always choose to do what they see will enhance their interests and as a firm capitalist I understand that metric.  But I'm looking at the thousands of hours invested in my turbolister that essentially are now down the tubes ... and also looking at the increased effort/hours now necessary to continue to list as I did and I just don't have the time.  But like the rest of us all I can do is grin and bear it.  I have never been to this forum before and won't be back because, in part, I have to triple my time input to do the same business as I did before with Turbolister.   And, yes, I still have my T/L files, but the images, THOUSANDS OF THEM, are no longer usable or transferable to my new listings ... Read that as an INCREDIBLE TIME INVESTMENT down the tubes and the same effort will be required to recreate or duplicate the images.   That's a daunting thought as I type away ...

Re: Turbo Lister

One more thing... will SixBit also import all the images that were saved in the backup from TL? I hope so, I don't think I have the images from those backups any longer!

Re: Turbo Lister

@afeldman

Is there a reason your TL photos are unusable? Are they too old and undersized, or is your image database corrupted? Have you talked to the turbodata team to see if you can export your image file to SixBit?

Re: Turbo Lister

@chiefrob

SixBit should be able to import the images, but there have been some problems, as reported on the threads here. In some cases, these were resolved using recommendations provided by the TL staff, as posted in one of the threads.
