The only time I don't want immediate payment.. Read on people.

Occasinally  I have items I want to sell... and list them buy now with a target price just to see the amount of interest.. A few days goes buy.. I have 7 watchrs lets say..  Not wanted to go through the lower price dance... I choose to auction the item.. find real value or at least cover my expense.

The good thing is.. eBay provides an option for that...  Change to Auction.. woot! (sorry the Phillies won tonight so you get a woot).

For some reason with a single listing this sends you off to the bulk listing tool.

It conveniently changes you buy now price it your auction price.. removing the buy now price... that's fine because I know I'm going to change it and it's a nice conversion.

Now.. here's the omg....  Auctions without a buy now, which was removed, don't allow immediate payment...  Big red flag.. everytime.. and I click and click and I click..

That's a column in a database somewhere with a flag.. y/n.. 0/1.. There are two options.. Require.. or do not require.

Honestly I would hope.. based on the way this is set up.. that when I hit change to auction  that little field across the way... is cleared of my need for immediate payment..

Food for thought.

Immediate payment can not be applied to auctions or offers.

If I am understanding correctly, when you have an immediate-payment-required fixed price listing, the change-to-auction feature does not remove the immediate-payment-required flag and you can not list because the flag is still set?
