Store Category Location

If anyone's taking a poll, I vote against the new location for the Store Categories.  People are lazy.  How many times have you received questions from buyers where the answer is right there in the listing?  All they had to do was read.  If they can't do that, do you think they'll scroll all the way down to the bottom of the listing to find categories?  People want everything to be user friendly and at their fingertips.  They don't appreciate having to look for something.  Many will give up the page they're on in search of an easier find.

Before, when the categories were listed on the left side of the page, if a buyers eyes were scanning the screen, looking for a familiar word, it wouldn't take long for them to find it.  It was right there where they were looking.  They would see the category for what they were searching for and navigate to what they want from there.  People want everything handed to them with little effort on their part.  If it's too much trouble they'll look somewhere else.

Who's going to think to scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen?  I didn't.  At first, I thought the categories were just gone.  Even when I saw them at the bottom.  It was the second or third time that I saw this new thing at the bottom of my listings that I realized what they were.  I'm sure that had a lot to do with being so used to how they used to look, but still...

Bottom line...  I think having the store categories at the very bottom of the page is useless.  No one's going to look there.  Traditionally categories have always been, and still are, listed on the left side of the screen and I'm not just talking eBay.   I vote we move them back.
