I received an error message after uploading a description revision to Seller Hub (File Exchange).
Warning - The field Item.ShippingDetails.CalculatedShippingRate.OriginatingPostalCode is deprecated and will be decommissioned as of 2/26/24 and will no longer be recognized or accepted.
|Item.ShippingDetails.CalculatedShippingRate.OriginatingPostalCode|2/26/24|0
I know from the Trading API that OriginatingPostalCode is deprecated in the API and should be replaced with PostalCode, as stated in the 2023-08-25 update:
CalculatedShippingRate (modified): The OriginatingPostalCode field has been deprecated and is not usable. Currently ignored. Use Item.PostalCode instead.
However, I created the listings manually over the past 6 weeks with the Unified Listing form and set the item location using that Lister (actually, I simply left what was already there). Also, at the same time, I created a calculated shipping rule in my account shipping preferences.
Today, I revised those recent 21 listings using Seller Hub Uploads (File Exchange) to replace only the description, using 4 minimal columns:
Action | ItemID | SiteID | Description |
and received the above error message on all 21 listings in the update.
The ship-from location on these listings was automatically populated by eBay's Manual Listing tool, so I worry that there is something the listing tool has saved or something that File Exchange is reading, since this field was not programmatically entered by me on these 21 listings.
Additionally, while on the postage setting screen last week, I did access my account settings and slightly modified my ship-from address, which appeared to have been populated with my Managed Payments info, although I made no changes to the city or zip.
I do believe that I have used "OriginatingPostalCode" on a few File Exchange upload tests in the past, and I suspect those listings are still active.
I'll continue exploring.

Hello @shipscript,
I did a test on my own account. I created a new listing using the Sell Your Item form on our site. I then revised it with Seller Hub Reports (File Exchange) to change the description. I got the same warning:
Warning - The field Item.ShippingDetails.CalculatedShippingRate.OriginatingPostalCode is deprecated and will be decommissioned as of 2/26/24 and will no longer be recognized or accepted.|Item.ShippingDetails.CalculatedShippingRate.OriginatingPostalCode|2/26/24|
When I checked my listing, the item location was the same as before. It looks like the warning can be safely ignored.

Thank you for confirming. While we can ignore the warning at this time, what will happen on 2/26/24? Will it become a fatal error? Or is this just a false message that needs to be cleaned up?

Hello @shipscript,
I reported the issue. The warning message should no longer appear unless OriginatingPostalCode is explicitly mentioned in the upload.
Starting 2/26/24 sellers should no longer use OriginatingPostalCode and use PostalCode instead.
