Once new payment system is functional can I safely delete my PayPal account?

I only used PayPal with use of Ebay as a seller and buyer.  How long should I wait to dissolve the PayPal account or should I at all??

Once new payment system is functional can I safely delete my PayPal account?

There is currently no cost associated with having a PayPal account, so why would you want to close it?

If you intend to purchase anything online there are more and more major companies which accept PP as a form of payment, so why would you want to close it?

It is one of the simplest ways to send money online to a friend or family member, so why would you want to close it?

It is one of the simplest ways to send an invoice requesting payment to a vendor or anyone else, so why would you want to close it?

I'm certain there are a myriad of other reasons why you should hang onto your PP account. Best of luck to you....

I would keep the Pay Pal account open, you never know when you might need it.

Why would you delete it if you are a buyer? You still should buy with it as it adds an extra layer of protection.

I use mine as buffer between the account I opened to continue selling and my "real" checking account.

Works fine... eBay sends money to new account, I transfer to PayPal™, then to my real account once it's there. Takes a few days longer to be "spendable" that way, but it also ensures that eBay is kept out of my personal account.

Also gives me the option of leaving it in PayPal™ for future eBay purchases, if I choose.
