How can i create an announcement

Perhaps this isn't possible because I'm having trouble finding an answer.

I would like to create a general announcement that customers will see when they click on my items. I need this to be across the board.... Not included in the description but more of a banner style announcement. It will be temporary.

Im not using a listing agent. I list everything one at a time using the sell an item feature on ebay

Point in fact I was just informed today by my supplier that because the country where the raw materials come from to make the clothes I sell is in lockdown the items are in short supply and we don't know when we can get another container. I have customers wanting sizes we are out of. I need an announcement stating we will let them know when lockdown is lifted and we have product on the way. Similar to when Costco is out of something and you go to customer service to see when it will be available again. Im getting daily emails from customers asking for product.  Its time consuming to answer each inquiry.  Perhaps ebay has that feature but im not finding it or I can add some code to my pages that ebay wont erase because it violates something???

Can anyone help me with this?

There is no such banner.  However, since you have a store, perhaps you can change your store Listing Frame to include the needed text instead of displaying the text that currently appears in your  listings: "Your item ships in 24-48 hours and you will be given tracking. Only USPS.com has current tracking."

Do you have a customer e-mail list that you can send a message to?

You could use file exchange to add a message to the item description, and then remove it when the times comes.

In addition to putting this information into your store header, you can also create an FAQ that will be shown to buyers when they click on Contact Seller.  This might be more effective in reducing the number of emails you get with this question (don't expect them to stop completely though).
