How Do I Stop Someone From Harassing me via Messages

Hi,

I have a seller who keeps sending nasty, childish, bullying and arrogant messages. We did not purchase his product because he informed us he was on vacation throughout the entire listing, would not return until several days after the auction ended, knew nothing about the product he was selling and therefore was unable to answer any questions. I personally find this unethical, but I asked him an additional question anyway. Due to him being unable to answer questions during the listing period and knowing he had bids on the item, so he would be covered, I asked for his permission to bid on the item and have him inspect it on his return. If it was broken, he could then use the 2nd bidder option. At that point instead of just saying no he didn't want to deal with that; which I would have accepted. He started to send these awful comments. I told him we did not bid on his item and he still continued. I blocked him, but they continue to come through. I asked him to stop, explained we had found a more ethical buyer, and I would report him for harassment if he continued.  I received a new message immediately after. I realize I can just ignore them, but they are really nasty and continuous and my eBay notifications keep alerting me every time one comes through. The notifications do not go away until I open the vile emails. Not wanting to miss messages from legitimate buyers and sellers, I have to look every time. Ebay really needs to allow blocking a user to include messages. No one should have to deal with this! Is there a function I am missing that will allow mne to block these messages and stop the harassment altogether? There is also no way to review someone for hateful non-stop messages in order to warn others.

 

What baffles me even further is this user has a high rating? Does he bully his buyers into positive ratings too? I've had one seller do that. After sending a bulk of collectors items thrown into a box with no packaging material. I gave a neutral rating. I received the merchandise it was as it said it would be, however, their was no cushioning in packaging, so the boxes were damaged. That seller contacted me and demanded I change the review. I ignored it & thankfully neber received another message. This current seller, after not purchasing his merchandise, has sent 6 to 8 messages already. It's as if he enjoys being rude and horrible for no reason. Any insight or assistance appreciated. 

 

This is under my husband's account, which we share, so he's having to get email notifications every time as well.
