at all because it doesn't give you 

that many options for the

I've been using it since it was released and don't have a problem with it now.

There isn't many options in the description area and that's why I do my description using FrontPage, then copy and paste it in the description.

The new Unified Lister still has an adequate number of editing features, but you have to hunt for them.

As @kensgiftshop  suggested, the description can be created in a word processor and then pasted into the description. Or if you want the same decoration on all descriptions, like constant font size and color, or a flexible box around the description that prevents it from stringing too wide, or a background of some sort, consider using the "Custom template" feature on the toolbar.
