HTML img tag in advanced ebay editor, part of listing description

OK, so it's 2018 , Sept 15

ebay, you have me **bleep** off

trying to use <img src="  "  alt="  ">  with a <br> before and after the line.

doesn't seem to work ... why ebay ?  does ebay even care ???

ebay could fix  this if the would bump the image limit from 12 to say, 20.  is ebay soooo hurting for income that the don't have the file space on their servers, because they won't upgrade ???

ebay, why have an "advanced" option under the HTML editor IF your not  willing to include a button for image insertion ??

is this so hard ???  have looked at posts from other potential users frustrated and many, many reply answers - there should be only ONE answer, that is use the <img> tag correctly AND IT SHOULD WORK !!!!!!!!!

OR, try this ebay, come out and clearly tell users that the limit is twelve and ANY other method to add additional photos won't work !

ebay used to be great, I fear that now it only employs morons that don't understand the beast they have messed up.

am I frustrated ebay,  gee,  GUESS !!!

eBay has become increasingly security conscious (yah!).

Links to sites off eBay (with small exceptions) are not allowed. See the links policy - https://www.ebay.com/help/Policy/-/Links_policy?id=4248

Images must be to a secure web image server (https: ).

You might use the following to display images within your description..

<a href="(secure https link)" target="_blank">Link description</a>

Be sure to include the 'target="_blank"' , it is required.

The problem is not eBay.

The photo URLs that you are supplying are webpage links to a photo viewer, not to a raw photo, so they can not be displayed with an image tag.

<img src="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EizV2laLOjS2Y0vZvqfH6HEercKn-tXS/view?usp=sharing">

If you follow those links directly, you will see that a webpage opens with viewer options for sharing.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EizV2laLOjS2Y0vZvqfH6HEercKn-tXS/view?usp=sharing

If you then locate the URL for that displayed shareable image, you will see that it is something else entirely.

<img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-lkFz1ySx1RFVr9zFs_5pahar-CR4B7otSI_Oqvcc21ejRdmcwv8LClMo8TvztTP-ADJ0he1LHwWVg=w1024-h590">

I suspect you may be able to find the raw image links somewhere on your share space, but I don't have an account to investigate.
