File Exchange download option question

When I select to download active listings with File Exchange it gives me two format options: Standard (default) and File Exchange (with a couple of sub options).  What's the difference between the two?

Re: File Exchange download option question

The "Standard" format is designed for Selling Manager Pro and the columns are in that format. The File Exchange format headings are formatted for File Exchange. There is a small difference in some headings and in some data values.

Re: File Exchange download option question

Is one more useful than the other?

Are both usable with Excel?

Also, what does the sub options in the File Exchange format actually do?

Hi @rfmtm,

Thanks for posting.

They can both be useful, it really just depends on what you're looking to do with the data. The Active > Standard file has a good amount of information on your Active listings, but it isn't designed for re-upload, and would require modifications to do so.

The File Exchange format files are completely ready to be uploaded as is. File Exchange > Revise price and quantity contains Titles, price, quantity, CustomLabel/SKU, and variation data (Relationship/RelationshipDetails). File Exchange > Active: Add unique identifiers is designed for users to add product identifiers (UPC/MPN/ISBN/ePID) to add eBay catalog information to listings.

Hope this helps!
