File Exchange & Multi-buy discounts

Is this possible?

Or can i only list multiple-item listings at a single price with no discounts for buying multiple items?

File Exchange & Multi-buy discounts

The feature is called "Volume Pricing" and is available store-wide for sellers with a store, or can be added to one listing at a time by non-store owners.  Just like other selling policies, store owners can create volume discount policies and give each a name so that the policy can be applied by name to groups of listings. I don't think single listings have such a a feature, since following the instructions below leads to a store sign-up page.

I don't know how, or if, volume pricing can be included using File Exchange. Perhaps @Anonymous  might know that answer.

Hi @hawbushcctv2009,

Thanks for reaching out.

The Volume Pricing/Multi-buy feature is not currently supported by File Exchange, but there is a somewhat similar process that will allow you to apply the discounts via a CSV file. Please follow these steps:

1. Go to https://www.ebay.com/sh/mkt/promotionmanager/dashboard
2. In the top right-hand corner, click "Create a promotion", then "Multi-buy"
3. On this page, go to the right-hand side, and click "Return to classic Volume pricing", which will take you to the older version of the tool that allows CSV uploads
4. What I would recommend doing, is on step 1, click the "instructions" link. The instructions page will lay out exactly how the file needs to be setup, as well as providing a sample file that you can download. To make this as simple as possible, I generally recommend using that sample file as a temple to build out your file
5. Once you have your file created, on the "Volume Price" (the one where we opened the instructions), click Choose File, then browse and select your file
6. Set your scheduled date range for this promotion, then click "Submit"

Note: The last few times I've tested this upload process and chosen the "Start immediately" option, there was a processing delay until the promotion took effect (I did 5 or so listings, and it took about 30 minutes). So I would just expect there to be some level of delay, but given time, it should kick in and work just fine.
