Update: Because we are transitioning from File Exchange to Seller Hub Reports, we are no longer raising File Exchange limits, and ask you to instead upload files to Seller Hub Reports: https://www.ebay.com/sh/reports/uploads

Seller Hub Reports has the same size limits of 14.9MB, and 150,000 lines per file that existed in File Exchange.

As for the daily upload limits with Seller Hub Reports, we have an upper limit set to ensure all sellers have the best experience and to protect our systems from abuse. Our daily limit is set to be high on purpose and subject to change, however most sellers won’t reach the limit. If anyone believes they have reached the limit, they can reply to this thread or reach out to us at turbodata@ebay.com, as noted below, for assistance.

Hi

I am a new seller and I was able to list only 4 items our of 200 because of my limits. How can I even be found with only 4 listings. I requested an increase and got rejected. How can I get the account limits changed so I can at least list 200 items - I have over 1500 items I would like to sell or get a chance of selling on eBay.

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lyse,

Thanks for reaching out. I sent you an email, but wanted to also give some general selling limits info here. I can't directly effect selling limits myself, that would have to go through the Help & Contact options for selling limits (as it sounds like you've already done). Even with the limit increase being denied, the limits team is able to review them every 30 days.

What I would recommend doing is using the limits that are currently there to list the items that you think will sell the most successfully. Having a positive selling history factors into limit increases. If you get a few sales on the account, limits are much more easily raised to something that would work better for your business. I know this can be easier said than done, but do your best to work within the limits you're currently given, and reach out to them to appeal once it's been 30 days from the last attempt.

I've increased the upload limit on your account, effective immediately. Please note that the file size limit is 15MB, which cannot be increased; If your file is above 15MB, please split the data into multiple files prior to upload.

I just started getting this error today.  I'm doing nothing different recently so not sure why it's an issue now.  Please increase my limit if it will fix this.

"Error - You have exceeded your maximum call limit of 50 for 5 seconds. Try back after 5 seconds."

That particular limit isn't one that can be adjusted, it's a limit on how fast our servers can process your data. Typically when this happens, you can get around it by reducing the size of the file (I usually cut them in half), then uploading multiple files, waiting 2-5 minutes between uploads.

If this keeps happening on smaller files, let me know, and I can take another look at it. You can also send the issue in to us by emailing turbodata@ebay.com, if you'd prefer.

i solved the issue already by my self after i tried many ways to solve this issue .this is the way which solved my issue: -> i just uploaded my csv file as it is to google drive sheets and then i downloaded it again and then i uploaded it to file exchange and the upload was successful without any errors

It's bit unusual, but from the sounds of things the program you were using was saving the file in a way that was not being read optimally. At any rate, I'm glad that you were able to get around it.
