Hello,
I'm trying to upload a file through eBay file exchange, but the system always returns the error "BAF.Error.3 Task failed". I checked every single field but everything seems right, according to the guide...
Does someone know what this error refers to?
Thaks a lot

Hello,
I didn't realize this request could be a duplicate... Anyway I cannot access the page you kindly posted, since a message says: "You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action". How can I see the solution page?
Kind regards

Well phooey. The moderators removed your duplicate post that contained my answer. I'll see if I can remember...
When the error message indicates the file could not be read, there are usually some basic file structure errors:
eBay expects Windows line-ends, so if you are using Apple or Linux, save or export the CSV file in Windows format.
Some programs attach special characters to the front of UTF-8 files to mark them as UTF-8. Those characters are not allowed at the front of a File Exchange file.
Make sure there are no extra linebreaks in your file. One row is one item. Extra rows, or linebreaks within a cell, will create unparsable data in columns where they don't belong.

Hello @libreria_scarpignato,
Thanks for posting.
Great information from @shipscript on potential causes of this issue. What I would also look for, that we see quite often causing BAF.Error.3, is there being duplicate or invalid headers present in the file.
Check for duplicates, and if you did enter any non-standard column headers in the file for your own purposes, remove those prior to upload.
Having invalid metadata in cell A1 can also cause this, but is less common.

Dear Shipscript, Dear John,
thanks a lot for your kind answers. I modified some fields in my file and now I got a different error (BAF.Error.7 ErrorMessage: PayPal). I cannot understand the matter, since I correctly wrote our paypal address, anyway I'm going to place a post in this discussion, hoping to find a solution...
Kindest regards

The two valid PayPal column headers are "PayPalAccepted" and "PayPalEmailAddress". There should not be any other columns called PayPal.
Check again for extra line breaks. Your PayPal email may be correctly formatted, but it may be appearing under the wrong column. This can happen if the columns are shifted with extra delimiters.

Dear Shipscript,
thanks again for the kind answer, I'll try to check every single field of the file, hope to be more lucky...
Kindest regards
