Ebay app will not connect to paypal

Today I was a first time user of the ebay app. The problem I am having is the app will not connect to paypal. I get a message to update my browser, that it doesn't meet tls standards. I use firefox browser and it is up to date. I logged into paypal directly and ebay app still gave same error message. I installed the paypay app, logged in, and ebay app still gives same error message.

So my question is, can anyone tell me specifically what brower the ebay app is trying to use to connect me to paypal?
