Attempting to allow three countries to purchase with no luck

I have attempted four different times last evening to allow buyers from Germany, UK, and Canada to purchase from my listings.  I have done two steps.  I have gone to Site Preferences allowing those three by unchecking their respective boxes, then SAVE.  After checking the listings, no drop down box.   Then, going to the listing and allowing those three again.  I tried both steps, one step or the other, but still no option with a drop down box for Germany, UK, or Canada.  What gives?  It isn't rocket science!   The listings will not show a drop down box with any of the three that I have allowed after doing both steps.  Any ideas why not?

Ok. Looked at all your listings since there were only 8. Looks like your global country exclusions applied to all of them.

You don't have a shipping method specified for Germany (or probably the others) , so the country dropdown won't show it.

You need to add an international carrier and method to the listings for those countries - just not excluding them isn't enough.

(This is the wrong forum for this issue unless Turbo Lister of File Exchange are involved with the listing issues. If you chose here because you are using the mobile app to list it is still the wrong forum and you need to address it in one of the mobile app forums. If a browser based listing form general listing issue then Selling or Shipping&Returns would be more appropriate)

However since the question is already here:

Can you post one of the item numbers in question? It would help to look at the listing.

Is it GSP? Is it any sort of item that might be prohibited to ship to those countries? DO the items already ship internationally and you are just trying to add the 3 additional countries?

You don't need to edit your global site exclusions to affect a current listing - changing the settings for that listing does enough.

One thing you might try is editing the countries you don't ship to in the listing, then change something about the shipping - add a small handling fee, add a shipping service, just something, and then save the changes.

There have been some shipping related issues in the past where certain changes need to be "kicked" into going live by changing other things in the listing shipping section, and that might get the software to "refresh" the shipping section and apply all the changes including your new country specifications. (you can go back and undo the handling fee or whatever you did to kickstart)

Attempting to allow three countries to purchase with no luck

I found the issue with the drop down option.  The International section was not coming up on my listings to allow me to add a calculated cost and I found out why.  Since I was using the older style form (not a mobile app)..I needed to click on "Customize" at the top right of the listing when I revised it.  Up came a box with a bunch of options; specifically, to add International shipping and rates.   The International shipping option used to automatically show up on the long listing form but now you have to go find it and check the box to add it to your listing.  After doing some calculating, I decided not to add any International locations as I don't believe a buyer would pay over $23.00 to have a silk scarf or blouse shipped.  If I don't think it is worth it, I don't think buyers will either.    Thank you all for your help.

Glad you figured it out.

Been so long since I enabled international and other "hidden" features on my listings form that I forgot about that the SYI form needs to be customized.

I assume you are referring to using First Class Package international, where 1-8oz to Germany is $13.54 and 9-32oz is $22.80?

You'd be surprised at what buyers are willing to pay, especially for something they want. And I'd think you could get the shipped weight down to maybe under 8oz on something like that scarf by folding, boxing in a lightweight white cardboard box and shipping in a padded bubble mailer.

Before I quit shipping internationally on eBay I mostly used padded mailers with no issues, and still do it for website sales.

Either way, you need to decide if the risk reward of international shipping is worth it.
