Adding columns to Draft csv Upload Template

Good day fellow sellers,

does anyone know whether one can add additional columns to the Draft csv template? Currently (6-25-22) the Custom Label (Sku) is not uploading / working with the draft template but is it possible to add Shipping Policy, Return Policy, Item Location, Item Weight to the Draft template?

When the "drafts" feature was fairly new last year, we explored the possibility of adding our own columns.

We found that many columns (like item specifics and variations) were not accommodated by the drafts template. But a few columns were accepted. I would suggest trial and error with one record to see what you get.

Download a full temple to get those column names, or ask here and I can look up the File Exchange names for those columns.

Maybe tools_apps_team@ebay  could provide a list of which unmentioned columns are accepted by the "drafts" template.

Thank you! I'll try it out. I've only tried Shipping and Return Policies but those didn't seem to work. I'll download the full template and see what I can finagle. Thank you for the eMail address, I might have to bug them as well. Seems like leaving out all those other columns from the draft template doubles the amount of work in the end.

Hi @crabbypaper ,

The only columns that I've had any success when added to the drafts template are columns for Item Specifics, such as C:Color, C:Size, or C:Type. If you do add Item Specifics to the template, be sure not to include an asterisk (*). I'm afraid that any other columns you add to the drafts template will probably not be recognized.

Ah, I see unfortunately Item Specifics isn't what's slowing me down. It would be great if we could add Shipping Policy, Return Policy, Custom Sku, Item Weight. Item specifics are certainly necessary but in my case I don't have batches of items with same specifics. Thank you for chiming in! I'll keep your info in mind for the future.

I appreciate your feedback.  I might suggest that you use the "Comments" link in the top right in Seller Hub Reports to record how we can improve the program. Our product development team reads those comments and they help in deciding on future improvements.
