Is it possible to add a discount to each additional item? I'm trying to add discount that would give the buyers a discount on items #2, 3, etc. It seems that the discount is applying to the total purchase, including the first item. I'm selling trading cards that ideally would be .99 for the first card and .25 for each additional card (no limit). I tried the buy one/get one but that only applied to item #2, not the additional.

The "Buy More" can be applied at the listing level, but it only goes to 4 items - and fewer if your discounts are too deep. Any above four would carry the same discount as four. With trading cards, you may want to limit the "and more" if using eBay Standard Envelope.
If creating a variation listing, all discounts will be applied in the cart. If selling multiples of the same item in one listing, then the discounts will appear when the quantity is selected in the listing.
Unified Lister - 2023 - volume pricing
Using this percentage pricing tool, where the first item is a dollar and each additional is 25 cents:
1 item totals $1.00, discount = 0
2 items total $1.25, discount = 47% off (0.63 x $2)
3 items total $1.50, discount = 50% off (0.50 x $3)
4 items total $1.75, discount = 56% off (0.44 x $4)
above the tiered discounts, the savings diminish...
5 items total $2.20, discount = 56% off (0.44 x $5). After the dollar, each item is 30 cents
10 items total $4.40, discount = 56% off (0.44 x $10). After the dollar, each item is 38 cents
...but at some point, your shipping is going to jump from letter to package. So, when dealing with low-priced items, be sure to consider the final value fees that will be added to shipping and sales tax.
A backward method, if charging shipping, would be to apply a shipping discount by creating a Promotional Shipping rule for the affected listings, where a shipping is discounted when buying more items.

This would be perfect if items could start at 0.25 and the shipping would be added to make up the 0.99 item with shipping, but, all fixed price listings must start at 0.99 or more.
