A new dilemma from ebay, "new listing page"

Oh god, not again, I don't know sometimes I think someone up there sitting behind the deck in eBay corporate and just wants to destroyed how people working on eBay, yesterday morning when I set the front of the computer to renew some listings i just realize how complicated is the new face of eBay, 😰😰😰

I think its too many clicks to change anything and its slowing me down.

Make sure to leave feedback for them and mention too much clicking. We have to make them hear us, this is insane.

I still remember old days when John Donahoe was ebay CEO, he keep increasing ebay final fee and make sellers impossible to breakeven.  I though he's the worst but it ended up sky is the limit for ebay final fee.  Well, everything has an end ...

we NEED the classic listing tool- this is not a joke ebay. people's livelihoods rely on being able to list efficiently and this new tool is beyond horrible.  its slow, complicated, confusing, bulky, cumbersome, cluttered, inefficient,  frustrating, badly designed for a desktop- in fact that is the problem, it was never designed for a desktop it was adapted poorly to fit a desktop and it is a complete failure. If you want to play with your new designs...fine but leave us alone and keep the classic available.

I've used the new listing page for the first time tonight and absolutely hate it. Granted, I'm old and hate change. But THIS is too much change and too different to throw at us all at one time. I'm left feeling very insecure about my listings now.

Please keep these boards alive with fresh feedback on the new listing tool. We sellers desperately need access to the classic again until the design team can fix this mess. We can't list like this for months while they work on doing what we have asked for.... Basically make the new one look and feel and function exactly as the classic tool. Don't try to reinvent the wheel and end up making it square. If you insist on this tool then we professional sellers need the classic as a professional tool option. We don't go to where you work and screw up your job!

I was assured by a "Customer Service Rep." yesterday that the problem with the "new listing page" would be corrected in 48 hours by the "Tech" group". They wanted me to change my entire system from Firefox to Googlechrome. Not gonna do that so I was assured that the problem would be fixed. What kind of idiot is changing all of our processes on eBay. CUT THIS NONSENSE OUT PEOPLE!!!!! You are not making things easier for us with all of these changes.

I was  just at a community yard sale yesterday and overheard more than one conversation about giving up on ebay because of the new "time consuming listing tool".  They were all saying its too confusing to use and it was just easier to put their stuff out at a yard sale or go back to consignment shops.

   I look at this two ways- 1. I think that is great that ebay is being talked about- it shows people are aware and its not irrelevant. There is room to get those people back if done correctly.

                                                  2.   People are leaving because ebay goofed up and made a design error by ignoring its users needs.     I understand the previous complaints about having 3 listing tools and ebay's answer was to unify them- but that only works in theory.   When a company considers feedback - they must also consider the source....most feedback is provided by occasional listers or people who have more time on there hands- but the full time motivated people that use the site rarely take the time to complain but are responsible for the majority of business conducted on ebay.  You cant punish your core users for the sake of the casual user.

I saw my neighbor on the street yesterday and he she asked my why the ebay listing page changed and is so confusing now?  She said that she hates all the boxes that pop up....  She is a part time lister and only has 100 or so listings at any time but she said this new design is so bag that she is not going to bother anymore.  I told her not to give- jjust list on mercari instead- its easy and simple and they dont change everything ever 45 days.

     Ebay- I cant with a good conscience recommend that people sell on ebay anymore!  its ridiculous.   I love selling here and its my full time business but the new listing tool is a stumbling block to use on a computer- you have made it that difficult to use! 

How long do we have to wait until you address this issue?-

I have been on eBay for some 18 years and have stood behind them at every change (fees, shipping changes and the like), but NOT this one. The new listing tool is too time consuming for high volume sellers.  This is my full time job and I do not use my phone to sell my items. I use my computer where I actually type and make listing. The clicking is too cumbersome. I really wish they could put the old tool back. I am having quite a hard time listing using someone else's listing as I have to do on my phone to try to make some time in listing.  Please eBay, but the told way back. It seems that many of us feel that way.

   Literally 98% of the Sellers that I have talked to agree with you!. We want and need a desktop professional listing tool. The classic was optimized for sellers to list quickly and efficiently with a full sized computer screen and a keyboard and mouse- the new tool is made for a 6" phone screen and a touch interface.... Two completely different mediums and full time listers are paying to price of this "unified experience"

         What is crazy to me is that not one of the design team or ebay employees use their phones to do their jobs!  They design these tools with programs on A COMPUTER with a full size screen and a keyboard!!   How can they not understand they we want the same option - I dont go to where they work and hinder them by forcing them to work on a phone app- why are they forcing us to do that now?

       GMV is down so far again this quarter.....no wonder- we cant list efficiently anymore.

At this point my greatest hope is that further decline will force reversal of the discontinuation of the classic tool or expedited over hall of the new tool- we are  suffering out here ebay- this tool crippled our ability to list.

agree 100%, the page flow is terrible, too easy to make a mistake, stupid dropdown boxes are useless  and their stupid slider buttons. I guess they found some new tools they wanted to add in because they are modern, albeit less functional . Its absurd, billion dollar company deciding that they need to change the listing page, yet, the many bugs and glitches continue. I gave up calling everytime I found one, they do nothing about it anyway.
