seller cheating with return shipping cost, how to fight this thing

Hey!

I sent the item back to seller using the provided by ebay's a "USPS Priority Mail Rtn Srv" label but the seller made a refund minus $32 for the return shipping.  What should I do to resolve this?  The listing was "30 day returns. Buyer pays for return shipping"

What was the reason for the return?

If it was a remorse return, the seller can deduct the original shipping from the refund.

That would depend on the REASON for the return.

If it were a remorse return, then that is correct.

If it were an item not as described situation, then the seller is on the hook for the return shipping cost.

And in this case, we don't yet know the reason, do we?

@cosmoson Since you mentioned eBay provided the return label you should not be charged for that. During regular business hours you can contact someone on social media to resolve this in your favor. Go to eBay for Business on Facebook and just hit send a message. They are very good about replying within an hour. It's quite easy to use and available to everyone. Make sure you give them the item and/or transaction #, you can even send them this photo for clarity. These are not the CS rep we used to get over the phone either. You should get this entire amount refunded to you by eBay. Best of luck to you....

It looks like Ebay charged you for the return shipping label, not the seller. Normally when you return something and the buyer is responsible for shipping ebay will prompt you to agree to pay for it and Ebay tells you how much it costs before printing.

Yes, you have 30 days to return the item and you pay the return shipping.

If you paid the original shipping, the seller can deduct it from the refund.

If the listing had free shipping, you would receive a full refund of the price you originally paid, but you still pay return shipping.

never saw a $6 priority return label

Return shipping label has always cost me the same amount as the original Priority shipping label

Wondering what part of "Buyer pays for return shipping" don't you get?

Surely it's not "buyer pays the seller" for a return label, while "seller keeps the rest" of the refund. Accounting 101.

eBay told you @cosmoson how much would be charged to you for the return shipping label, like this:

it is always about $4-6, here is an example for the same service

It often costs more depending on the size and weight of your item but ebay tells you right upfront.
