@imtrials

Next time this happens, open a Return request. The emails between you and the seller were time wasted... claims get action.

Re: returning product that wasnt what i ordered

ALL eBay buyers, as well as ALL eBay sellers owe it to themselves to become familiar with eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, preferably BEFORE beginning to buy or sell on eBay.

Hope you do not have this issue in the future, but if it should happen, be prepared.  You received an item that was not as described.  All you needed to do was to go to your Purchase History.  Click on "want to return".  Reason:  Not as described.  Seller will have 3 days to handle the situation, preferably by sending you a prepaid return label.  If not, then on day #4, you return to the case and request that eBay step in.

eBay will refund you from the seller's funds and tell you to keep the item.  You have 30 days after you received the item to do this.

How about now taking the time to read the MBG?

When the seller didn't provide a shipping label, you could have returned to the case after 4 days and ask Ebay to step in for a refund.

What actions you took when the request was opened?

Re: returning product that wasnt what i ordered

Did you actually follow eBay's protocol for opening a request, which several of us have outlined here, or did you just send a message that you wanted to be refunded?  Messages don't get the job done.  Filing an item not as described case and then following up with eBay does work.

Re: returning product that wasnt what i ordered

Seller said UPS would send you an email with a return label...wrong information...seller does it.

And after an open claim and no return label...buyer escalates the claim for a refund on a date eBay gave you.

Re: returning product that wasnt what i ordered

quick question, I had this problem on an item I purchased. ebay stepped in and gave me the refund, but the seller wont send a return label. are you saying to just keep the defective product and not worry about it since i got my refund? this sounds like the seller is trying to pull a fast one and try to dispute the refund. thanks for the info

What fast one can seller report if you were refunded by eBay? He lost. As for item, flip it, use it, donate, gift, discard. Simple as that

As long as you have your refund, you can do whatever you want with the item.

If seller wanted it back, they should have accepted the return.
