I CANCELLED A RETURN TO CHANGE THE 'REASON,' AND THE COMPUTER WILL NOT LET ME REOPEN THE RETURN REQUEST. HELP, PLEASE.

Once canceled you cannot reopen.

Sadly, once closed that is is. You get one chance. I'm sorry you are learning this after the fact. You will have to seek refunding via the payment type used.
