Re: r

I don't full understand your question.  Are you saying you paid for an item and the seller never shipped it? If so, click the I did not receive it choice. You have to wait one day past the last delivery date to file that case.

Or, are you saying the item broke and your trying to get it taken care of through eBay?  That has to be billed no later than 30 days from delivery. How long ago did you purchase it?

If I have not answered your question, come back here and explain in more detail.

Re: r

Are you saying that the seller can NOT find the item after you bought it and paid for it? Very easy, tell the seller that he has to CANCEL the sale and you will automatically be refunded.  He has 3 choices to cancel.  The correct one should be " out of stock".   But frankly , at this point , you want your money back and you do not care what excuse he/she picks.  If the seller does not know how to cancel, tell him/her to come here and start a new post and he will be told in more detail how to cancel.

Re: r

Are you saying you bought a truck with gift cards? Did you find it on facebook or Craigslist and where told the sale would go through ebay?

If that is what you are saying then I hate to tell you this, there is no truck, eBay doesn't sell or store cars/trucks, there's no warehouse. You've been scammed.

That is why ebay can't find the purchase. Sorry.

Re: r

Think about this carefully before answering:  Exactly where did you find this truck listed for sale?  If it was anywhere except eBay, with an eBay item number, I am sorry to inform you that you have been scammed.

When a buyer finds a vehicle on another site and is told to pay with eBay gift cards, that's a scam.  eBay gift cards can ONLY be used to pay for purchases of items actually listed for sale on eBay's site.  And motor vehicles are one of the categories where the buyer cannot pay with gift cards.

Buyer finds a wonderful deal on a used car, like a2019 Honda Civic for 2K.  Seller offers reason for selling: military being deployed, flight attendant who has no time to drive, mom selling dead child's sweet ride are some of the more popular stories.  Seller says sale will fall under eBay's Buyer Protection Plan.  All the buyer has to do is purchase some gift cards.  He then sends seller the card numbers; however, seller promises that he will not redeem cards til he knows buyer is satisfied.  To that end, seller will ship the vehicle to the buyer at his own expense and buyer will have 7-10 days for a trial period.  If, at the end of that trial period, buyer decides he doesn't want the car, seller will have car picked up at  his own expense.

Evidently the obvious flaws in this plan are  not always identified by the eager car shopper.  He buys the cards, sends #s to seller and sweeps out the garage waiting eagerly for his new wheels.  Sorry, Charlie, never gonna happen.  While you're out there with the broom, seller (scammer) is busy spending your money.

And, just in case, you believe you have any recourse, eBay cards are non-refundable and non-traceable.  That translates to "when it's gone, it's GONE".

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  Yours is the SECOND similar post I've seen here today.  Knowing you are not alone is no consolation, I know.

Re: r

Please read what has been posted above, if you did not find the truck on eBay, there is no truck. You have been sent a spoof email that looks like it came from eBay after you contacted the nonexistent seller. eBay HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CARS OR TRUCKS NOT FOUND ON EBAY. Ebay does not ask you to pay with gift cards. Once you gave the spammer the card numbers, that money is gone and there is no way to recover it.

Sorry it really sucks.
