Why is Ebay allowing sellers that do not allow for an item to be exchanged for the same item if it is damaged. I have been an Ebay shopper for many years, today I am disappointed. I purchased a bracelet from a seller, the item I purchased is damaged and seller is not allowing for me to exchange it for the same item that works.  The item is damaged and I would like one that does work. I can understand not accepting an item back for other reasons but not if its damaged and I can't wear it.  I will delete my account with Ebay and not shop with them again.

Money back guarantee doesn't allow for exchanges. You either get your money back after returning, or the seller can allow you to keep the damaged item and give you a refund.

There is no "exchange". There is only return.

To effect an "exchange", you must return it for a full refund, citing damage, and purchase a new one, and pray to god the seller doesn't just ship you the same defective one back LOL.

I've also worked with some buyers and done exchanges on the side outside of eBay. I DO NOT recommend this. Just making a point that I have done that so didn't involve a return/refund necessarily just a swap of items.

Return for refund. Select "Arrived Damaged" as the return reason.

Buyer another one.

Most sellers won't do an exchange.

Ebay isn't really set up for exchanges.

The MBG says you get the item in the condition stated in the listing or your money back.

Some sellers will do an exchange, but you have to work with the seller and trust them to send another item, once you return the damaged one.

Have A Great Day.
