Buyer talked me down $20 on a $170 turbocharger. The day receiving contacted me stating the intake was not the right size for his application. Upon receiving item back opened to find 3 used, very rusty tractor parts instead of the brand new turbocharger. eBay first sided with me to not refund. The next day reversed that decision. Took me more time to finally have the reversal reversed but I consider myself lucky. I'm sure the buyer was able to keep the item and his money. However, it was unnecessary time and stress.
Thanks

I expect the feedback the "unlucky" buyer left for others had something to do with eBay's final reversal decision.
If it's not a red "Seller is a scammer" or similar, it's a green "issue seller took care of". I assume "took care of" involved the seller refunding the buyer.

I'm confused by your post. The buyer was the scammer. In the end I was permitted to keep the funds from the transaction.

Yes they were. I'm just saying that the feedback they left for others tends to confirm that.

Yes it does. I usually check that among other things but the buyer was 70 miles away and I knew I'd double up on the shipping fees even after his $20 discount. I really should have checked. Fortunately, only my time was wasted.
