when I bought an item for my son's truck in Sept 2024. The parts program showed that this was the correct fit for the truck. All the trucks particulars are on the order and it also states on the order that this will fit the truck. Brought it to mechanic this week. He said that it is the wrong part. I contacted the seller to say it doesn't fit. They asked for the vehicle VIN, I gave it to them. 2 days ago they updated the item listing so show it no longer fits the truck, because I did check that it fit again before contacting seller. The listing was updated by seller 07/22/25. They responded it is past the 30 days, and offered no resolution to my problem. The return request is no longer showing in the purchase history, nor does the order number show up in the chat search.

Since the item was purchased in September 2024, that is 10 months ago -- long past both the eBay Money Back Guarantee, as well as any credit card charge-back period.
So eBay won't be able to help, and your seller can't be help financially liable, short of small-claims court.
Is there a reason that you waited so long before checking to see whether the part would fit?

You went beyond any protection that eBay or even credit card will provide. I'm curious why you waited 10 months to take it to mechanic?
