cancelled an order a few minutes after i bought it and the seller ghosted me

i recently bough a ps5 from a seller but changed my mind after i found a cheaper price somewhere else so i cancelled the order before it shipped and I've been trying to get in touch with the seller for the pas 24 hours so he can either ship me the item or give me a refund so far I've had no luck with either since i didn't receive the from the seller or a refund can eBay step in and give me a refund?

Well I think you should give seller some time to react, maybe he/she is not monitoring eBay sales 24/7? In the auction page there should be processing time, if that has passed without response then I think you should be "worried".

A lot going on here.

If the seller does not cancel the order and chooses your option (from your messages) to 'ship' the item and you still don't want it when it arrives, you can open a Return request.

Note that 'changed my mind' and 'found a cheaper price' are remorse reasons, so the seller might not approve the claim, or might have you return it on your dime... depending on the seller's Return policy.

You really need to read the Money Back Guarantee. It'll tell you when eBay can/will step in. Good luck.

A buyer can't cancel an order, they can only ask the seller to cancel it, but they are not required to.

Since it's Memorial Day weekend, you might not hear anything until Tuesday.

No, Ebay won't do anything until after the estimated delivery date has passed.

All you can do it wait to see if you hear from the seller or receive your item.

i didn't purchase the item from the auction section the seller gave the option to buy immediately.
