Wrong item received return...

Good morning dear members,

I bought a tool from a seller from Italy , he post it via DPD but he actually send me a totally different item! I have opened a return request with reason for return : does not match descriprion or photos.

Seller is top plus rated with zero negative feedback...

After some research I have found that the parcel weight is 1kg but the weight from the correct tool is 1320g...And the item I have received is just 1kg...Maybe the carrier does not verify the shipment weight ?

This is my first order and to be honest I have no idea what I have to do now ?

File an item not as described.  Seller will either supply a postage paid return label or refund the purchase without requiring a return.  

Just make sure you file the not as described quickly to meet ebays requirements.

If you opened a return request, using item not as described as a reason, then you have to wait 4 days for a response from your seller.  No response or unsatisfactory reply from the seller? Then you return to the case and ask eBay to step in.

If the seller wants his item back, he has to either send you a prepaid return label (domestic) or to refund you in advance for the return shipping cost (international).  After the seller receives your return shipment, a refund will be issued.

Can you escalate? If the seller isn't responding and doesn't respond after the additional 5 day timeframe, go back to the case and ask ebay to step in again.
