Ask the seller to cancel your bid.

First ask the seller to cancel your bid.  They don't have to but most will.  You can always resell the item on eBay yourself if you don't want it.  You don't have a valid reason to retract your bid.

And, frankly, unless they are "blinded by the light" they would be stupid not to cancel it. Common sense says if you bid by mistake then the probability is that if you win you are not going to pay. That just causes the seller consternation and possibly the loss of the sale to someone who would have paid.

Ebay can not force you to pay.  If you win you can just ignore it.
