Tracking number

I went to return my package today. My return was was a case eBay had to jump in and help me with cause the seller never responded i need to add my tracking number. Well i type it in and and select USPS cause that's what its for and it says my tracking number isn't recognized. What do I do?

Build a longer number @toryngeissler 

420  +  seller's 5-digit zipcode  +  tracking number

Test the new number at the USPS.com website, then type that in, instead.
