Seller Requests Shipment to a US Address vs. Address in China on File

Hi - I have a return pending for goods shipped from China. The seller has requested I ship to his friend in Florida. Is willing to pay the postage to ship there. When they approved the return, the address on file is in China. Will there be any issues with ebay if this is shipped to a different address than the one on file for returns?

If the seller wants it shipped to the US, then the seller can change the address and issue you a label.

Do NOT accept money to buy a label and ship to a different address than the one on file.

Stick to the address that is on Ebay. If not, you could get burned and not get your refund. I would apologize and let them know that the only way is to ship it to the address from Ebay. They may consider to cancel your return and let you keep the item. (If it is not worth the shipping charges to ship back to China)

The return address can be different than the seller's on-file address (where they shipped from, or where they are based).  The return label can be provided by eBay, or an alternative label from the seller using their preferred carrier.  The important thing is to use the return shipping label that the seller provides you, and that this label is delivered to you through eBay's return dialog or through the eBay messaging system.

If the label is provided by the seller directly (it is not an eBay generated label), make sure the tracking number is properly documented in the return dialog.
