Returns

I normally do not accept returns, but agreed to this one. She said she ordered a duplicate of what she already had, so I agreed to a return. She waited until the very last minute to ship item back. It is 4 days late and EBay closed the return. Am I still obligated to give her a refund?

Re: Returns

If eBay closed the return, no.

But if you received it back in the same condition you sent it in, why wouldn't you refund?

Re: Returns

Because ebay closed the case in their favor.

Re: Returns

@grand-and-glorious-purpose

It wouldn't be right to keep the money and the item.
I'm with @loose_goose_garage

If the item is returned in the same condition as initially shipped, I would refund minus original shipping.

Re: Returns

The right thing to do is whatever the seller thinks benefits them most and not what any of us think comports with some sort of moral high ground.

they can keep the money, BBL and move on risking a negative and possibly a return on the other item or a chargeback.

Or

Refund the money and possibly keep a customer that may return to spend more money.

Re: Returns

Buyer can always do a charge back through their payment source if they are not refunded.

Have a great day.
