Returning to China

I have recieved some trousers from a seller via e bay. The trousers are nothing like the description which was " mens fleece lined trousers".    The trousers are small (  26 inside leg and 28 waist ) and not lined at all. It says on ebay that seller will pay for return but seller  say that they cannot provide a returns label and they will have to go back to Shanghai. They have offered half the cost for me to keep them and say I can sell them on.....      this is just hassle. I would like advice but cannot get anything from e bay excpt to tell me that there is a deadline date. I would like to know what they suggest. This is such a disappointing experience.

Simply leave a private message here for eBay on Facebook

and tell eBay that you need a prepaid return label. eBay will put your case on hold for 5 days for the seller to either refund no return needed, or send cash up front for the Royal postage. But if the seller @woodsandpiper does neither, eBay will force a refund no return needed.

Returning to China

Do what the others stated. Do NOT close the case.  Most of those sellers in China are liars and know exactly that they sent out garbage.  They KNOW that they can NOT issue a return label.  They are hoping that the buyer accepts a partial refund.   Half of whatever you paid is alot of money in China. They do this deliberately. DO NOT believe them if they say for you to return and they will reimburse. Again, they are lying.  Finally, after you get your refund,  make life easy for yourself and NEVER ever buy from China.  99% of the items are junk, counterfeit, too small, poor quality, have toxic chemicals, etc.  Computer batteries are known to have caused house fires.  Batteries will sometimes mess up your valuable electronics.  Again, it's mostly garbage.

My kid won 2 video game systems on Ebay years ago. Both video games ONLY work on the Nintendo systems for the Chinese markets.  The sellers knew this.   Back then there was no MBG but mom came to the rescue and did a chargeback.   My kid is a grown man now and knows not to buy crap from China.

Simply file an item not as described case and let eBay deal with it from there.  Respond promptly to any messages while the case is open.  Escalate the case when available.

Chinese sizes are way smaller than US sizes.  I once purchased a pair of men's cargo shorts that were XL, and they came small-medium (maybe a child's size), something like that.  I filed an INAD case, and because the Chinese seller couldn't provide the return label I was refunded in full.  The seller did try the refund a % and told me to resell it too.   I don't sell clothing.

Thankyou for this reply. It is helpful.  I have now been in touch with ebay who have also been helpful. It was difficult to get hold of them at first.
