I had a forced return on a new sealed item and said item was used. Usps tagged delivered to address but it was not. I have a box and says delivered to front porch. Not im out my item and the money. Do i get any recourse?

Is the tracking number that says "delivered" for the return the same one as the return shipping label you supplied?

At first, the buyer gave you their money.
You gave the money back to them.
So you're not out the money.
You're out the item, shipping both ways, and your fees if eBay had to step in.

But you have the box?
You should tag USPS back, and ask where it was actually delivered.

The only 'recourse' I see is a dicey proposition. I'll explain...
If you issue the refund, your FVFs will be reversed and you'll be gold to eBay... albeit out your item.
If you don't issue the refund on your own and eBay has to become involved, you'll earn a defect to your Seller Metrics (for an unresolved case) and your FVFs will be forfeited. Here's where it gets dicey... you could always appeal an eBay-initiated refund, but that is not a guarantee that the outcome will change. No reversal (by eBay) and the defect and refund will stand. Good luck with your decision.

Maybe it is just me but I'm confused, did you sell the item or buy it?
If you sold it and it was supposedly returned to you, but nothing showed up, this could be a reverse fake tracking scam, where the buyer changed the address on the label and sent an envelope or small empty box to a different address in your zip code.
To find out if that happened try calling the USPS customer service phone number, Give the rep the tracking number, and the address the item was supposed to be addressed to, and ask them if the one the label and yours match. If they do not then come back to this topic and let us know that.
If you were the buyer, did you check the return address on the label you were provided to see if it matched the city, state, the seller gave as the item location? You may also want to check the seller's feedback profile to see what country they registered in.
