I’m trying to return an item with no information as to where etc. I need a phone number to a live person in customer service!

This eBay account is April 2...surely there must be past emails....address on package.
Emails in your inbox account....shipping information in your inbox account.
Email the buyer. If item arrived Monday or Tuesday this week wouldn't there be an address on outside package?

just go to your 'purchase history' page
and select a reason for your return
it is all automated and pretty efficient
you will be prompted as to your next steps depending on your reason for the return as well as the sellers policy regarding such returns
no need to sit on hold
it is not instantaneous...takes a few days to cycle and close

Really need more information to be of any help at all. You can open a case for returning an item for several reasons right from your summary page, if there's a problem with what you bought.
