Return not received from Buyer

Hello, everyone, I sold a handmade item on April 5th the buyer received the item on April 10th contacted me the same day trying to tell me about my Product not being real Hair I suggested that the buyer perform a simple burn test and perhaps a coloring test to determine proof of this being in fact real hair.  So now the buyer claims to have sent the item back but now the item hasn't been returned yet it seems like its lost or something is wrong with the label. How can I find out if eBay provided the correct return address and added any type of insurance this was a $145.00 item. Labels can easily be manipulated to reflect a different address or something. I don't get many returns; in fact, this is my 1st and only return in years.

Was it returned through eBay process? 

If so, what does the tracking# tell you?

Did the tracking even show that it was accepted by the buyer's local post office?  (Proof that it was even taken to the post office.)

This is what I see, and the crazy part is that eBay is insisting the item was delivered to me, but it hasn't yet. so why are they sending messages asking me if it has been delivered but no way for me to actually tell them it hasn't just a refund buyer link.

the Postal Service has identified a problem with the processing of this item at 10:15 am on April 27, 2025 in SEMINOLE-ORLANDO FL DISTRIBUTION CENTER. The local facility has been alerted and is taking steps to correct the problem.

ACTUAL  VIEWABLE TRACKING is the ONLY proof of delivery in eBay's eyes.

So, what does tracking show?

Then on top of that they say have eBay step in but no option for my concern this is why I left eBay in the first-place years ago.
