Return Shipping Label

I'm using Hong Kong (HK) Post to return my product to the seller because it arrived completely different and damaged from the listing/description.

I used the HK Post website to create an order number and entered the order/tracking number on eBay. However, I didn't use the eBay-provided or buyer's shipping label, and I can't find the eBay-provided shipping label anymore since I entered the order/tracking number already.

Am I done for?

In addition, how does the buyer refund my shipping fee of $300 HKD?

Return Shipping Label

Did you open an item not as described case? Because of your location, your seller cannot send you a prepaid return label.  He's required to front you the funds it will cost to return the item to him unless he doesn't want it back.

You are in Hong Kong.

This is the .com US forum.

Why would the buyer refund your fee?

Return Shipping Label

My seller still hasn't sent me shipping funds. Should I ask him to do it before shipping my card? I only placed an order for HK Post but haven't paid yet. Thus, I only have the reference number but not the tracking number.

eBay also only sent me the name and address of the seller, so I'm assuming that is the shipping label, but I didn't print it either.

Return Shipping Label

I'm not sure what their motives are, but they might be hoping for a minimum refund and gaining a profit without giving the actual card I bought.

If you filed an INAD, you need to get the return shipping money up front.

If you pay it, there's no way to make the seller pay you back.

Have a Safe and Happy New Year.

When your item arrives damaged @amandac_44 the seller pays for return shipping if they want it back before refunding. But if the seller has not, from you to their country, do not pay for it yourself out-of-pocket.

Leave a private message here to tell eBay that you need a prepaid return label. eBay will put your case on hold for the seller to either refund outright no return needed or send cash for the return shipping. If neither happens, eBay will force the refund no return needed.
