Trying to return an item "defective, doesn't work".
Did the return request.
Seller sent a message: Ship item to this U.S. address and if it doesn't work I'll send refund. And I'll refund the return shipping cost to your Paypal.
(I no longer have paypal and don't really trust this seller to even refund) Looks like a fairly new seller with about 10 feedbacks. AND, I "thought" I was supposed to get a pre-paid return label to print out and use to return the item.
Today, I get another address to return it to: Looks like an eBay message with a Singapore address (yet no return label).
I'm at the day where I can ask eBay to step in and help.
So, I click the link. It sends me to the Singapore address message, and tells me to Contact Seller.
I click "contact seller".
I then must enter the item number.
I do that. And am met with a message that the item number is not good for this seller. And can go no further.
Triple checked everything.
What's going on here????

Have you tried item not as described? (meaning picking another option that it still qualifies for return for)

Can't change the reason.
Seller accepted the return, but will not provide a shipping label.
Ask ebay to step in and help, sends me straight to contact buyer.
Says: buyer must send a return label. But they won't.
But they must. But the won't.
Buyer accepted return, print label. But no label
Buyer must send a return label.
IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON....
eBay chat help says I'm covered, but just runs me around in a circle with no exit.

@chevymontecarlo88
This is a $100 defective item that'll cost about $40 to return it.
I assume, at this point, I'd be out $140 if I attempted to return it.
(and I have two addresses, both sent in messages).
I'd be fine with keeping it and eating the $100. IF, I can figure out how to set up my listings to where return requests created the same mess for return requests. LOL
It's genius!

I just got stressed out just reading that. 😀 I hope you get it figured out.
