Return Problem

I have a problem with two returnsThe UPS store put the wrong labls on two packages and they were returned to the the wrong sellers.  Each seller got the wrong item back  One seller will not contact me so I can get this squared away.  The other seller is being rude.  I want to corret this.  Please give me a telephone # at ebay.  None of the numbers work.  I guess they do not want to talk to you

Re: Return Problem

I don't know of how you can contact eBay by phone, but do know that you can reach them through a message on facebook.

Before you reach out, what do you want eBay to do to 'correct this'? You may be asking something that they can't do.

Re: Return Problem

This is how you could contact eBay

Open an eBay page

Top left corner, click on 'help & contact'

Click on 'buying'

Bottom of the page, left side, Click on 'returns and refunds'

Click on top of the page 'return an item for a refund '

Go to bottom right of the page, in very small print click on ' have us call you'

eBay will call you in 2-9 minutes

@classycoco1

Not sure what Ebay would be able to do to fix the problem?

Re: Return Problem

eBay can not fix the problem: it is on you.

Shipping an item that is not solicited is sending some one a free gift by the way: such is law.

Not what you wanted to hear I am sure: but eBay can do nothing about such mistakes.

Re: Return Problem

After calling eBay and consulting with them, there're few things you could do

- You have both Seller's phone numbers, call them and have a short conversation with them. There is nothing like talking to someone. You can find their phone numbers on your Order Details

- To avoid four shipping costs, you can have two Sellers ship items to each other but you need to be in very good terms with them both. So your contacting and conversations need to be in much more friendly manner than what you say it is

- It looks like, you have to pay twice shipping on both items now. Add four shipping costs and this time, you have to pay, research the amount. Is it worth the hassle? If it's, followup, and if it isn't, walk away to cut your loss in money and time

- Talk to the UPS store and if they accept the responsibility, have them help you. I don't know what happened there but in my dealings with packages, they're very careful about mix-ups. I wonder why you needed to buy and print a label at the store, if you're returning!?

Re: Return Problem

You need to take that up with the UPS store and UPS.  eBay has no way to force a anyone to send or return items.

Contact UPS about an insurance claim as it was their fault.  But then, trying to prove that........

Re: Return Problem

Personally, I would focus on the UPS store. They screwed up big time. Even if you didn't buy insurance I suspect that they will make you whole. Had UPS store once send my item to a wrong address, their fault, and the paid the entire price of the item and the shipping I paid (took a while).

You may want to offer a refund to the one buyer who has responded and give the a label to send the item they do have back.

Re: Return Problem

Ebay is going to refund you anyway. The hassle you have thrust upon the sellers will probably get you on their BBL.

Buyers can return a half rotten fish and still get a full refund.

Re: Return Problem

Well, if you truly want to do the right thing then you can close both cases without getting your refunds.

That's a tough cookie, I don't see too many people doing that.

The OP is the buyer, returning two orders, which got returned to the wrong sellers.

The right thing to do though buyers are often rewarded for doing the opposite.
